Thanks for feedback Dejan, we did deriming before start up, achiving -53C dew point. Straight after start up pressure drop over column was 0.6 bar, after few days increased to 2.6 bar.
pressure at inlet to turbine initially was low 2.5-3 bar vs required 4.5 bar.
does this mean that there are...
Hello everyone,
I am a Process engineer of Cryogenic N2 production unit.
More than a year it is beaing operating <60% of total capacity.
We conducted several maintanances, repaired and replaced turbines, replaced adsorbents, check valves, purged inside exchangers in Cold box, however again...
turbine covered with snow and ice, is it normal during operation? or there are leak throug gaskets?http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=ed1c29ae-15b7-45f0-b37e-c496d811ac5d&file=IMG_5388[1].JPG
Hello everyone,
Box can you please help me. If outside of the turboexchanger and one of the Cold Box pipe of nitrogen producing Cryo unit, ice and snow built up, does it mean that there is internal leak? (see picture in attachments)
also did you have any experience of Cold box internal lines...
Hello dear fellow engineers!
My name is Gulmira.
Currently we are working on starting up the Cryogenic Nitrogen Unit.
Completed exceptional ReGex and deriming steps. Started up Turbine, but cannot reach the required RPM (42000) on the turbine. Blades are open to 50%, inlet gas Pressure 4.8 bar...

Hi, if dew point after deriming is -41C, how adversely it can impact to operation?
can we start up the unit not reaching required -60C dew point after deriming?
