Hi Felix,
I was hoping that there may be a way to parameterise the minimum radius generated from the face curvature analysis so that I can run an iterative solver which increases the value of the minimum radius parameter, thereby smoothing the final geometry produced.
If you or anyone else on...
Good afternoon,
Anyone know if there is a way to parametrise values that are created from the analysis tools?
I am specifically looks at parametrising face curvature in order to smooth a surface that I have generated.
Kind Regards,
Chris Swain
It was the "radius" face analysis that I had to turn off.
NX would not allow me to deselect all faces but I was able to select a small face elsewhere in the model so the issue has now been avoided!
THANKS AS ALWAYS. [medal]
That is true that I am viewing the analysis in "face analysis" mode, however the issue is that multiple analysis results are showing on top of each other and I cannot find the object in the tree to turn off in order to view only the face curvature analysis!
I am trying to use the face analysis tools in NX to analyse the smoothness of an aerofoil surface.
I have looked at multiple tools including "dynamic deviation analysis", "face curvature", "grid analysis" and "radius".
The one that I have decided is most relevant for my application is the face...
Cheers for looking into this guys!
Turns out that the problem was in the fact that I had converted from mm to inches in the original parameter.
If there is a formula within the original parameter then the parameter does not generate correctly.
(E.g. 0.5/25.4) equals 0.5mm in inches.
I fixed the...
Dear eng-tips,
I have been trying to create parameters from sketches. (Drawing lines and adding a rapid dimension to define lengths.
Regardless of whether I use the default pXXX or rename the parameter (e.g L1), NX is not generating the formulae correctly.
If I open Tools>Expressions and set...
Thanks Airin,
That doesn't allow you to see the parameter number though does it?
I was hoping there was a way to display the value and parameter name.
Any further thoughts?
Kind Regards,
Chris
Hi,
I am modelling a component with geometry that is associated with other line lengths.
Is it possible to hide the formula in the displayed dimension and instead show the parameter number and value?
For example:
p28 = 40
p29 = 10
p30 = p28+2*p29 > > INSTEAD > > p30 = 60
Thanks in advance...
