    Acoustic Boundary Conditions in Solids

Hey Jason, thanks for your reply. The problem is that you have to use fluid elements for acoustic problems. I need those boundary conditions for solid elements. Does anyone know how to put those acoustic boundaries on solids? Or do I somehow have to connect solid and fluid elements? Best...

    Acoustic Boundary Conditions in Solids

Hey! I am trying to analyse wave propagation in a solid (aluminium) in Ansys APDL. How can I create acoustic boundary conditions at the edges of the solid?? How can I e.g. induce an absorbing boundary to the model? I would be very pleased about an answer :) With best regards, Roman

    Wave Propagation in Solids (BCs)

Hey! I am trying to analyse wave propagation in a block of aluminium in Ansys APDL. I am giving a displacement signal out of a node and I observe the displacement at a receiver node. This worked quite well, but I did not figure it out out how to give acoustic boundary conditions to a solid...

    Static analysis before explicit analysis

Hello! I'm looking for the solution of a rather simple problem in Ansys APDL. Assuming that my model would be a beam - I want to preload my beam with a constant force and then give a time-dependent load on the equilibrium state (explicit analysis) - without any oscillations resulting from the...
