Gents,
Thanks for sharing your opinions. It is appreciated!
The problem is already solved at site by welding butt-welded patch plates in. I have attached some photos for you.

only 4 nozzles - 2" and 4" nozzles at two location 180 deg apart, are close to each other (same elevation but 2 deg orientation difference). Other two number 2 inch nozzles are at different orientations far from the others.
Good day,
New nozzles will be installed at the required elevations, it is not problem.
I just checked out the subjected nozzles. There are 4 numbers of 2" Nozzles and 2 numbers of 4" nozzles welded and completed on the tank shell being useless. I would also prefer to keep them spare and...
Dear tank specialists,
We have 39.9 m I.D Gasoline Storage Tank designed as per API 650 currently being under construction. Two 4" nozzles are attached to first shell course plate which is 18mm thick. During the construction, it has been known that elevation of these nozzles are wrong and will...
Ideally, Nozzle neck thickness should match to the schedule or neck thickness of WN flange.Because nozzle min calculated neck thickness should match to vessel code's minimum nozzle thickness req. and and it is better to have flange schedule matching to that as well. This will also save...
Hi,
We are the contractor side and will be preparing Mechanical Datasheet (GA) for this tank. The Tank bottom will be Cone-Up and will probably have 1:120 slope . MDMT is -13 C deg. The Operating fluid is Diesel as I mentioned before.

Ramil
Hello dear forum users,
There is a Diesel Storage Tank that will be designed in 39.9 m diameter / 18 m shell height.
My questions are:
1) How many DRAW OFF SUMPs would normally be best needed for this size of Storage Tank? and also What would be the best size of drain Nozzles coming out of...
Gents, I am reading the comments under this post...
FYA, Lifting lugs are normally designed for empty lift with applying certain load factors only as necessary. Designing the lifting lugs for hydro static (water filled) case would cause considerable increase in the cost, thus, equipment would be...
Does anyone have Y shaped tee catalog (looking like one on the photos)?
I am looking to find tee and weld reducer and flange to this. It seems it will be impossible to find one like this.

MortenA,
This is cooling pipework of Drawworks Eddy Current Brake (ECB) system.
No, there is no PSV in this system. There is an Isolation valve and 1 Flowmeter on each side. Flow is going into the tee. Probably, this type of item is put to achieve smooth flow to the brake.
I think this...
Hi,
No, tubing does not have any relationship with valves. It is just carrying cable for flow meter control device.

Hello Gents,
Has anybody seen this item before? What is the industrial name of this piping item? Is it coming with standard flange on each end of tee or flanges are separately welded to the tee?
Would it be possible to buy stainless steel or duplex ss material of this item?

Ramil...
Hi!,
Yes you have to check your stresses and displacements as main priority. And one more thing that you need to be careful. You must consider THRUST LOADING being generated inside expansion joint while system pressure affects effective diameter of expansion joint.
You need to see manufacturer...
Good day dear Engineers/designers.
Does anyone know what is the name of this welded item? It is very unique and existing something we need to change this item. It is small bore and has got clamp to hold 2 lips together. There is also seal between two lipped faces. Photos are attached. Waiting...
