Hello Gents,

Has anybody seen this item before? What is the industrial name of this piping item? Is it coming with standard flange on each end of tee or flanges are separately welded to the tee?
Would it be possible to buy stainless steel or duplex ss material of this item?

Seems like a specialty item fabricated specifically for the valves (functionality). Below the 'tee' there's some sort of tube or bar which seems to interconnect both valves for a simultaneous opening. Also there's a bracket of some sort attached to the 'tee', but that I cant tell for sure based on this picture.
Anything you like you can be bought on the market in any material, however this wont be standard item I guess.

Hi,

No, tubing does not have any relationship with valves. It is just carrying cable for flow meter control device.

Is it by chance leading to a PSV with a spare PSV (isolated but ready for service)?

MortenA,

This is cooling pipework of Drawworks Eddy Current Brake (ECB) system.

No, there is no PSV in this system. There is an Isolation valve and 1 Flowmeter on each side. Flow is going into the tee. Probably, this type of item is put to achieve smooth flow to the brake.

I think this can be called ''Y shaped Reducing Tee''. I have come across some but not exactly like this.

The plumbing guys seem to call it a 90 degree double Y elbow, or long sweep T.

Why they used this instead of a swept Tee isn't clear.

Create a drawing and send it to a few vendors and see what happens.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

My guess is that it is a female tee ..... I could be wrong, tho

Looks to me to made from standard BW fittings. I guess it as designed detailed on the original piping drawings. Assuming it has been operating OK and is not over stressed, buy the same fittings and get your piping fabrication to made a new one.

It looks similar to a "90D double bend elbow" which is welded with reducers and flanges for connecting to the valves.
Just guessing, it could be a special fabrication item or a localized product.

That is not an off the shelf fitting. It appears to be fabricated from a butt welded stainless steel pipe sanitary fitting weld Y type tee with flanges and reducing fittings added on.

I would suspect that this piece was made to fit within the manufacturers skid dimensions and not for any particular hydraulic reason.

If you want the same fitting, request it from the original manufacturer.

Does anyone have Y shaped tee catalog (looking like one on the photos)?
I am looking to find tee and weld reducer and flange to this. It seems it will be impossible to find one like this.
