How to prepare piping class document?

above table was correct. Thanks all. Somehow i have completed ansi class as per design condition. Thank you all

How to prepare piping class document?

Thank you, everyone. I have now established the pressure rating based on the design pressure from the MOPX1.1 above. However, I still have some doubts regarding whether the ANSI pressure ratings for Carbon Steel (CS) and Stainless Steel (SS) are the same?, as outlined below. ANSI Pressure...

How to prepare piping class document?

Thank you all for the reply. I have my operating condition only. Is that below method correct for determine process design pressure and temperature at first: Design Pressure and Design Temperature Generally, the design pressures and design temperatures are taken as below (as minimum): Design...

How to prepare piping class document?

Hi all, I have been assigned the task of preparing a piping class document for a new greenfield project. As my background is in process engineering, I would appreciate your guidance on how to create this document, especially since there are no piping specifications provided by the client. Any...

    Storage temperature for methanol

I involved in design of plant producing Methanol and transport it. Looking the Storage temperature for methanol

    Storage temperature for methanol

Kindly provide the recommended storage temperature for methanol in the tank according to applicable codes, standards, or any other relevant references, and specify the reference source. Also the standard state blanketing and PVRV requirement.

Low Pressure Alarm for Nitrogen Blanketing Line to a Storage Tank

Hi, I heard some people saying Storage Tank which have Nitrogen Blanketing require low pressure alarm at nitrogen line in order to alarm when nitrogen pressure is low, But I cannot find any standard saying this? Can anyone help me indicate which standard say this requirement?

Centrifugal to change to PD PUMP

    Hi Thanks for feedback

Centrifugal to change to PD PUMP

The original pump out for repair, this just temp pump replacement

Centrifugal to change to PD PUMP

Hi, Thank you for reply. Downstream piping design for 150 #. This Piston pump air operated but instead of air they want use N2. If not put RV, if a block outlet happen. It will overpressure the Piston pump right.

Centrifugal to change to PD PUMP

Hi all, As per my simple sketch, we want change Centrifugal PUMP with design shutoff 6 barg to PD air pump with design 45 barg, and this pump handling sulfuric acid . Few of issue i can see here. Need mitigation for that 1. Design pressure alot higher for downstream piping and equipment, is...

Condensate Pump too many elbow at discharge Pipe

Dear all, I would like to enquire is that for Condensate Pump which float type one when there is too many elbow its cannot pump the condensate to the destination, since condensate pump cycle is low and will create water hammer ? So when there are too many elbows is for condensate pumping is...

Direct steam injection into cooling water line at pump suction

Dear Ed, I dont think so the pressure is enough, because the condensate tank operating at ATM condition and pump suction pressure is 1 barg. That mean the condensate pressure is lesser that pump suction pressure. Unless i put new pump for condensate injection which become costly.

Direct steam injection into cooling water line at pump suction

Dear guys, Thank you for the feedback. The pump suction pressure is 1 barg and and steam injection pressure is 3 barg, hence steam pressure is definitely higher than pump suction pressure.

Direct steam injection into cooling water line at pump suction

Dear all Thank you for the reply. There is another latest update, i have find out there is condensate tank nearby which most of condensate being send to drain. If i replace the steam injection with this condensate from condensate tank at pump suction to get hot water at 60 deg c, is that it...
