During my inspection for an overhead crane , I found that the beam is welded on the lateral side (see attached photos ) when I check the drawing there was no details of these welds .
my question is :
Is the beam suppose to be welded like that or Is it supposed to be formed completely as one-

currently i'm working on a project where i have to select between two pumps which got me a little confused :RATED FLOW IS 129 M3/H ,NPSH A = 4.5 m.
1st pump :
it has a high NSS 13600 .
NPSH R at end of curve is = 2.8 m.
rated flow is 97% to BEP FLOW( 130 m3/h) .
Minimal stable...

i went to check this morning and i found that the roof is seated on 3 different places : shell,the weld between the top angle and the shell , and few millimiters into the top angle , it's very uneven
