Twin Lobe Gas Blowers Outlet temperature

Thanks everybody for detailed responses. I’ve nearly got my answer. Just wondering if there is any formula that shows the speed change that leads to flow rate change will not affect the temperature rise.

Twin Lobe Gas Blowers Outlet temperature

Thanks Pierre, I’d seen that and already know how to calculate the temp. But I want to know if the gas flow rate change how I can justify that it has no impact on discharge temperature. The formula is only proportional to pressure ratio and irrelevant to volume.

Twin Lobe Gas Blowers Outlet temperature

Hi , I am working on a project which has a Twin Lobe GAs Blowers. I've been asked to calculate the discharge temperature at lower flow rate. Vendor has already specified the temperature rise at max flow. I assume the capacity won't remarkably affect the temperature as it's variable speed. and...

    Grit pumping

Hi , I am working on a waste water treatment project, we have a Grit Chamber at higher level comparing the downstream Grit classifier , the Grit pumps to push the grit from chamber to classifier is located at the bottom of Grit chamber. in our P&ID , there is a barometric loop that raises up...

Sludge mixing pumps_VSD or Fixed speed

Thanks bimr for your response . the pumps I was taking about is the recirculation pumps not a transfer pump.

Sludge mixing pumps_VSD or Fixed speed

Hi all, I am working on a wastewater plant and there are a few mixing pumps e.g. primary sludge tank mixing pump , digested sludge tank mixing pump and Anaerobic digester mixing pumps. some vendor offered Fixed speed while the preference is VSD. Can you please let me know for these specific...

    Progressing cavity pumps minimum flow

Hi everyone, I have some PC pumps at the sludge lines of a waste water treatment plant, we are preparing data sheets for vendor. the pumps mainly have VSDs. the material balance table shows a few different flow conditions. I am mentioning the design data based on the maximum flow. just...

Hi there , I have an aeration syst

this is the basic design and there is a loop with a NRV as the siphon breaker . my understanding is we have two options : either having a barometric loop equal to water level + atmospheric pressure + margin or having a loop with water level height with a siphon or vacuum break valve. the...

Hi there , I have an aeration syst

Please find the sketch below and share your idea regarding if the two mentioned options will be effective enough.https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=7054f4b9-3ef2-49cb-acf9-e5e0cc50c460&file=IMG_3821.jpeg

Hi there , I have an aeration syst

Thanks everyone for the responses. I got my answer and will out a check valve on top of the loop to break the siphonage.

Hi there , I have an aeration syst

Thanks , actually the blowers is at the lower levels , I think that I should either put a vacuum break valve on the hump or lengthen the loop up to 1 bar + liquid level in the tank = 15 m Am I right?

Hi there , I have an aeration syst

Hi there , I have an aeration system that consists of a 6 meter tall aeration tank with approx. 5 m of liquid. The PD blowers are in a nearby building at ground level. The piping goes up and over the wall of the aeration tank to the bottom of the tank where the aeration diffusers are. I am going...

    Anaerobic Digester Vacuum relief valve

you say that vacuum could collapse the reinforced concrete digester? how?

    Anaerobic Digester Vacuum relief valve

if the digester is a concrete type , vacuum relied is still needed?

    Anaerobic Digester Vacuum relief valve

Thanks Bimr for your reply , actually my question is how it is worth to put a vacuum relief valve on digester when entering air into the tank could be so dangerous?

    Anaerobic Digester Vacuum relief valve

Hi There ; I have a question about the vacuum relief valve on digester . from one side any pressure reduction inside the tank increases the possibility of vacuum and the vacuum relief valve prevents it but from the other side the mixture of air with gas inside the digester is explosive . please...
