    Welding Step time in Abaqus

@FEAway Thank you for the response. Yes the cf and cr are the goldak parameters. I am converting a pipe of dimension 114 outer diameter with 6mm thickness and 400 mm length to an axisymmetric model. If its a 3d model we can go with the 2*pi*r/V as the step time .But when it comes to the...

    Welding Step time in Abaqus

If I am using a DFLUX model for welding with cf=4 and cr=8 for a 2d plate with 400 mm length and 6 mm thickness. Suppose the velocity is 1.33mm/s. What should be the step time I have to use for the heating? is it cf+cr/v ?

    Abaqus job not running?

I have 47 license available out of 75. and I have used 32 threads to run the analysis, which requires 21 license only. Once the job is submitted it is not running, but its showing till submitted. Do I need anything else to start it running?

    Regarding Sequential analysis?

Dear all, When we transfer the temperature from heat transfer analysis to displacement/stress analysis(Sequential) in Abaqus, Can we transfer the elemental temperature, or only nodal temperature is possible? if yes 1.How can we transfer the elemental temperature(TEMP) in sequential analysis...

Calculating cooling rate for incorporating phase transformation in welding?

@FEAWAY I tried calculating the heating/cooling rate by DTEMP/DTIME using USDFLD, but I am not sure about the working of DTIME. DTEMP--temperature incremenet

Calculating cooling rate for incorporating phase transformation in welding?

@FEAway You mean we should incorporate the thick/thin cooling rate equation in USDFLD and pass the same to UEXPAN as STATEV

    LOW STRESS VALUE AFTER COOLING

DEAR ALL The below given is the user subroutine I have used to incorporate the phase transformation phenomenon after welding. The code runs fine without phase transformation effects. But when I incorporate the austenite and martensite values the results are not matching? 1.The residual stress...

how to find the temperature difference in Abaqus using USDFLD and GETVRM

Dear all, I want to calculate the temperature difference in a heat transfer analysis. But I am getting the same values in the filed and state variable, which leads to zero difference in temperature. Can anyone help me to find out "how to calculate the temperature difference between the last and...

    Abaqus SUBROUTINE development

Dear IceBreakerSours, Thanks a lot. This is what actually I expected. Sorry for make you confusing. Its part of research. I have to find new possibilities .Not sure how far it is possible. That's why I am taking experts opinion. Now I got one from you and its really worth.
