    Manhole Exacvation

Yes, as well points are expensive vs to our tender. We are just opting to excavate while dewatering with submersible pumps. Can any one tell when are the fabric required like geo-textile material. And what requirement does fulfill while backfilling trenches after installation of PVC pipe...

    Manhole Exacvation

Hi everyone, While excavation work for infrastructure works we usually reach the water table and find the situation as shown in picture. https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=cf88c17a-2f7e-471d-8846-bce4294387ac&file=IMG-20190516-WA0007.jpg As we cannot go for compaction , we...

Why do the standards mention that the pipe length for pressure test should be no longer than 500m.

LittleInch You are right. However, our project specification has mentioned: e. Test sections: Limit test sections in pressure lines to not more than 500 m. (img https://res.cloudinary.com/engineering-com/image/upload/v1562647128/tips/Untitled_t3pwrr.jpg] I thought this is specified in...

Why do the standards mention that the pipe length for pressure test should be no longer than 500m.

The standards mentions that the pipes pressure tested should be no longer than 500m. However, I have installed pvc sewer mainforce line more than 800 meter without conducting pressure test. I just wanted to know, technical what will happen if we conduct pressure test for pipe length exceeding 500m.

    Tolerance for Slope Gravity-flow pipe

These are PVC sanitary drain pipes which will be buried under the road. The tolerance for installation is of 6 mm in invert level and 25 mm is in horizontal alignment. For example in 30m Manhole to Manhole pipe line, 0.5% of slope is to be maintained plus there is 6 mm tolerance in invert...

    Tolerance for Slope Gravity-flow pipe

"C. Alignment: Tolerances are to be 6 mm in level and 25 mm in line between manholes or access points unless otherwise specified. Where pipe is to be constructed in straight lines between manholes or lampholes, the length will not be accepted if a light at each manhole or lamphole can¬not be...

    Tolerance for Slope Gravity-flow pipe

Dear All, In our project specs. the slope of gravity-flow pipe is "0.5%" from manhole to manhole. However, a tolerance of 6 mm in level is mentioned and 25 mm in alignment. I am searching if this tolerance is mentioned in any standard for a while but I am not able to find. Can any one help me...
