    May i ask why you dont agree? According ASME IX , QW 256, T qualified is an essential variabel (see QW-403.8). QW403.8 refers to QW-451, which states range base material thickness T as 2*T.

    All thanks for the reply. As i understood the deposit thickness t is not similar to the base material thickness T. According to m the base material thickness T should withon the limits on the PQR. When the base material is thicker as in the PQR we might have a difference in material structure...

    Dear Don56, Thank you for your response. The in this case the flange face has been repair welded by a company which holds a PQR (groove weld) which is valid for material thickness T=25mm. In practice the component has a material thickness T=45mm. The PQR is normally not valid for this material...
