this is a replacement pump .There were 2 sets of KSB pumps with head 50m and 35m3/h flow for one pump. But the actual flow was around 24m3/h. So decided to replace with flow serve pump @50M and 100m3/h .
pump sets are in parallel

recently installed a new flow serve pump with flow=100m3/h and head 50m and is delivering only 35m3/h.please explain the possible reasons were we have gone wrong .

its a ductile iron pipe with cement lining .DN 600
pressure in pipe around 8-12 bar
flow 500-600 m3/h
the pipe was laid 3 meters below the ground
service ; more than 10 years
recently there was a leak .while trenching we found heavy rocks...
Can anybody tell me how this hole formed in this pipe line ?

Thank you for the reply .we have Two surge vessels connected to the main discharge line of four pumps connected in parallel .The design pressure of the surge vessel is 9 bar whereas the discharge pressure of one pump is also around 9 bar .at a time 3 pumps will be operational.how will i know...

While stopping the motor the current reading is going high and motor is going to trip(please check video)...
