Are there any consulting engineers or the such that work w/ architects using 3D AutoCAD?
My problem is when we reference in the 3D AutoCAD drawing, doors, windows, and walls become complicated elements, typical doorswings don't show up and the walls typically go the whole length, not breaking...
That's an interresting work around... I have seen the macro's recorded before, but we do not use them. Do you have to create a macro for each tool you want the specific settings for? How do you use the macros for tools? Is it just a different key-in?

After looking into this a bit further still, I think linestyle creation has to be done with the linestyle editor, the dgnlib is just to store the line styles, for standard sake. Sorry.
Has anyone seen any literature on creating line styles via a DGNLIB? I need to create a large amount of line styles, but the line style editor is very time consuming and dificult to keep organized. I have heard linestyles can be kept in a DGNLIB, but have not been able to find anything on it...

Sorry, I mean he actually had a custom menu set up where he could pull it down and actually see cell images on the pull down menu and he could pick them from there. It was yet another means of choosing cells other than from the library and cell selector.
I was told by a coworker that at his previous place of employment he could see and choose individual cells in custom pulldown menus, does anyone know how this is done?

Adobe Acrobat is a simple viewer program to use for both Bently and Autodesk, You can not modify the file in any way once you've translated it over. The files are easy to make. It would be like printing out the drawing.
