Hi,
As stated in Article 250 of NFPA 70, different types of earthing (intrinsically safe, instrument earth(non IS) and protective earth) shall be connected together (apparently) at one point.
But I didn't find any solution to avoid one earth current or voltage, affecting other earthing system in...
Hi,
I have a question about choosing proper explosion protection type for JB containing ONLY TERMINALS related to some Exd instrument (might be either solenoid valves or free-contact digital signals) which hope you may help.
If we need to install this junction box in Zone1 or Zone2 and...
Dear TiCl4,
E&H doesn't have gauge in product line as far as I know.
For pressure transmitters you're absolutely right. But when it comes to pressure gauge, you're gonna have to use gauge saver because MAWP of a gauge is 1.3 of the range (for some special cases up to 2 times of gauge range).
Dear mk3223,
Thanks for your prompt response. As I stated before, the design pressure of the process I'm asking about is way more than selected gauge range. If I choose wider range then resolution will not be correct. So I should have a gauge saver (pressure limit valve). Also I should use...
Thanks danw2 but I didn't find my answer. I'm asking if both diaphragm seal and overpressure protector (gauge saver) can be used together in services which gauge rangex1.3 is lower than medium design pressure. Is yes, what is the correct installation order and if not, what is the alternate solution?
Hi.
Overpressure protection of pressure gauges are 1.3 times of gauge range in general and overpressure protector (gauge saver) will be used for cases where process design pressure is higher than 1.3 times of gauge range.
But what if a diaphragm seal (either threaded or flanged) is required...
Hi,
When we call a cable "LSZH" or low smoke zero halogen, which layer(s) shall have such specification? Is it just for jacketing or insulation and other layers shall have this specification? Can a LSZH insulated cable with PVC jacketing pass the requirements of IEC 61034?
I know that IEC 61034...
Thank you so much.
What you've mentioned is basically cases which might lead too PSV chattering.
But just by looking at PSV calculation, is that possible to know whether chatter will occur? Someone told me once that capacity exceed more than 200~300% will cause chattering. Is that a correct...
Hi,
Would you please let me know what parameter in PSV sizing (both API and ASME SEC VIII) output shows that a valve could suffer from chattering? What's the reference and acceptable criteria? Is it somehow related to capacity exceed?
Thanks
I am quite confident that both principles are suitable for this application but because I have both of them on top of the tank and close to each other, I don't know whether their waves affect each other.
Hi,
We want to use two level transmitters with different principle on a drum and it's been decided to use non-contact radar and ultrasonic level transmitters.
I know that there are other alternatives like dp and displacer but the question is that "Does electromagnetic wave of radar level...
