    Edge finding function on Mitsubishi

    @laserkatana Today I tried to test the edge finding function. I inserted these lines before the line M66 #10202=0.2 #10203=0.8 #10204=0.2 #10205=0.25 G253A55.0B48.0I29.0J7.0T1 Where I and J values is the current position of the cutting head. Because the machine is in inch, not metric so I...

    GWeike fiber laser

    @Kovo drs Do you know how to cut with fixed height hold (the laser won’t move up and down)? We want to cut something not flat so we want to keep the head not move up down to avoid crashing the head.

    Edge finding function on Mitsubishi

    @laserkatana: I found programs 9503 (main), 9504 (sub x) and 9505 (sub y) in sub_program folder. Will the program detect the edge of the sheet and rotate the x-y coordinates so part will be cut inside the sheet in case the edge not align with x-y direction? I run the other laser (Gweike). It...

    What is this error?

    &laserkatana: I used line 6 to cut the holes and line 8 to cut the rest. Then I used line 4 to cut the holes and got that error. Switched back line 6 but the error still occurred, even restarted the laser. Do you know why?

    What is this error?

    Hi, yesterday I got this error. The laser Mitsubishi LV-CFX40 was running fine before my lunch. After lunch, I tried to cut a small hole 0.12” using line and encountered this error. Then I tried to use line 8 as I cut parts before lunch but the error still occurred. Restart the laser didn’t...

    How to continue?

    @laserkatana: so I can do the same for just one part, dividing by boundaries. N0060(BDR:1) .. .. N0100 M87 N0110 (BDR:2) .. .. N0200 M87 N0210 (BDR:3) .. .. N0300 M87 So if I stopped after BDR:2, then I need to insert command GOTO N0210 after the command G90G92X0Y0 at the beginning of program?

    How to continue?

    Hi, I am running the laser Mitsubishi LVP-CX40. If I run a program (not complete yet) then for some reasons, I stop the machine to cut something else (just an example) or power outage. How do I continue to run the program at where it was stopped?

    Etching / engraving

    @laserkatana: I tried to etch on stainless steel (0.040” thickness). If I set the parameters as you suggested, the etching is too light. If I increased the power to 450W and speed 200ipm then the etching is ok as my boss wants. The problem is that the plate/part is warped due to the heat. I...

    Water conductivity

    @laserkatana: at my previous employer, the machine ran 2 shifts per day, 5 days a week. When they sold the machine to my current employer, the new employer runs the machine rarely. Maybe weeks or months. I know that the water sits idle will cause the trouble. I told them but they didn’t listen...
