Antennas for short range HDTV testing...

Hi, we would like to make some tests for HDTV, and we need to set up a short range transmission (max 5m). I would like to know if I can use a simple VHF/UHF dipole antenna, to transmit and another dipole to receive? If not, what antenna should I use? Thank you for your help! Thomas K...

    External GSM antenna

Hi, I would like to build a bi-band GSM antenna (900-1800) for external conections, but I can't find homebrew projects on the web. Can someone help? The antenna can be omnidirrectional or dirrectional, it doesn't matters. Thanks Thomas K. http://www.emcrf.eng.br ICQ#282786426

Hello -- Question regarding feed point on a patch

For references you can read Chapter 8 of Microstrip antenna Design Handbook by Garg, Bhartia, Bahl and Ittipiboon. You should feed the antenna on the other diagonal of the patch to get left hand polar... or feed the patch by the axe of symetry and truncate two oposites corners of the patch to...

    Calcul/measurement of coax impedance ?

Hi, I wonder how I can simply find the carracteristic impedance of a coax cable ? I wanted to calculate it knowing that Z0= SQRT(L/C) with SQRT=> square root ; L,C: lumped elements... But I've another problem... it's that I don't know the dielectric material so I can't find Epsilon_r !! Can...
