    Structural Frame Analysis

Hi everyone, Attached is photo of a structural frame. Can anyone help to resolve R1, R2, R3 and R4 in terms of "P" and "L"? From my own understanding: 1. P = R3 + R4 2. Since the frame should stay static, the tilting force from P would result in R1 to be a downward force. I did my own...

    Water Reticulation Analysis using EPANET

Hi everyone, I'm new to EPANET and am trying to run a analysis for a project. Attached are the pipeline layout and EPANET file. Parameters 1. 159 single residential units, 3.3m roof height, 1500 litres/unit/day 2. With fire hydrant 3. Tapping from existing 400mm DI pipe, min. pressure of 10m...

    Tide Level vs. Flood Level

Thanks for all the replies, but I'm having a hard time trying to understand all of it.. Can anyone explain in simpler terms? Maybe in some graphical sketch? Thanks.

    Earth Drain side slope

@TigerGuy, yes I do have enough room for tiebacks but dont think its feasible in terms of cost, the earth drain/swale is approx. 1000 metres long. @1503-44, do you know how to check the capacity?

    Earth Drain side slope

Yes I'm aware of that.. but I'm pretty limited on the width thats why.. How about a 1:1.5 slope? Can the gabion hold it?

    Earth Drain side slope

Hi all, I have an earth drain constrained to a size of 2.5m top width, 2m bottom width, 1.9m height, which would give the side slope 1:0.13 (H:V), can I reinforce the side slopes with gabion mattress? Or any other types of lateral reinforcements? If not, what is the limit of the side slope...

    Water Pipe Pressure

@jimstructures, Then what would the pressure be? Do you mind to elaborate more? THanks

    Water Pipe Pressure

Hi Everyone, I have a development where either side of the water pressure from the pipeline is not enough, say if I tap it from both points, does it mean I would get a combined higher pressure? e.g. Pressure A + Pressure B would meet and result in a higher Pressure A+B Pls refer to attached...
