    Sizing an empennage (unconvetional)

Hello people! My itention is to size a V-type and H empennage, just to simmulate on OpenVsp, to make a simple comparison between empennages. And yes is a symmetric, and to find the area I'm going to use a volume coefficient for horizontal and vertical tais. And my question is: First of all...

    Sizing an empennage (unconvetional)

hello everyone! I have a doubt about sizing empennage, not the convetional ones, but, for example, a H or a butterfly ones. My doubt is: according to the authors that I read, you can use the same procedure used to estimate a convetional one, but if I find a area, example for a H empennage with...

    basics on flight simulation

Hello everyone I'm starting to develop a flight simulator, for universitary (academic) purposes. So my doubt is: 1 - a basic bibliography (or any material to start learning about it); 2 - How to integrate performance data to the simulation (velocities, power, lift / drag...) Tnx for reading :)

Why can't we use steel as wing instead of aluminum alloy

basically, weight. steel has excellent mechanical properties, but is very heavy (high density); meanwhile an alluminum alloy has mechanical properties good enough to aeronautical use, but is very light.

    Data of sailplanes

Hello everyone! I'm looking for sailplane data such as tables containing Cl, Cd, wing area and weight. I'm making a research about performance calculations and I need these data to confirm. If someone has or know where I can find these data I'll be very happy :) Thanks for reading :)

    USA 35B airfoil experimental data

@LiftDivergence the reynolds number I'm trying is 3.47 * 106, what type of flow are u using: inviscid or viscous? @rb1957: the idea of work(s) is first to get experimental data and after use simulations tools like xfoil, ansys (main tool) to generate simulated data and compare the results. And...

    USA 35B airfoil experimental data

Hello everyone! I find the experimental results that I need, tnx a lot for your tips :) @rb1957 -> about the 2nd question: my teacher ordered us to get experimental data (that's why I'm suffering to find these data) would be ease if I could use xfoil to get these data :) after this I'll curse...

    USA 35B airfoil experimental data

Hello everyone, I need of experimental data from USA 35B airfoil, is to an academic work (homework). Where can I find experimental data from this airfoil? I tried airfoiltools.com (I find the airfoil I want, but not experimental data) and others coordinates sites. Or if is not possible what can...

best tools - more used (useful) tools

@Stephan Nelle: tnx for the tips, and mainly the bibliography. @IRstuff: tnx for the tips. @kontiki99: tnx for the view how to "separate" the topics and the importance to get socially active. :)

best tools - more used (useful) tools

@WKTaylor - I think that I got the message: be curious and let it guide you(me) :) @GregLocock - tnx for quote, it's a life truth. @rb1957 - sure I'll apply it, but sometimes it's very tempting whenever you know a lil bit more about an issue and fill like a god on it lol. Ok folks tnx for the...

best tools - more used (useful) tools

Hello everyone, My name is Gibran and I'm Aerospace Engineering student. My question is: what is the most useful tools (software, metodology and etc) to start to project aircrafts. And what the job market wants in a engineer. tnx for attention :)
