    Thickness GD&T

Thank you for your help. There is no particular standards I am following. The stock used is not specified. I wanted a tolerance of +-0.05mm

    Thickness GD&T

The design intent is to fasten 2 extra components to the threaded holes. They need to be perpendicular to the top and bottom faces of the component. https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=55678d71-1b1c-40f4-8665-81183db92e2e&file=Capture3.PNG

    Thickness GD&T

Hi Greenimi, Thank you for your feedback. What is wrong about datum B?

    Thickness GD&T

Hi everyone, What control should I add to have a thickness of 4mm? Is the flatness control good enough to keep it close to 4 mm?https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=175bd768-c2de-4a74-9fae-0797d53542b4&file=Capture2.png

    Power transmission with timing belt

Hi everyone, How do you determine the transmitted torque in a 2 pulley system with timing belt? I know the torque of the motor and the speed of the 2 pulleys.

    Timing belt selection

Hi everyone, I am trying to design a 2 pulley system with a timing belt. The small pulley will be driven by a Nema 17 stepper motor, 0.4 Nm, speed 1000 rpm. The largest pulley will be attached to a lead screw for driving a load and rotate at a speed of 250 rpm. - I determined the power of...

    Perpendicularity

Burunduk, I got confused, I thought that it was enough to define a basic angular dimension. Thank you again for the help. https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=7716ebec-3e34-405d-9df5-175b6e5d8a95&file=Technical_Drawing_2.PNG

    Perpendicularity

I mistaken the two surfaces, I should have put it on the surface where the hole is located. I made all the changes that you suggested. Thank you for your help. https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=14e7b7b6-2c90-4746-ba03-f198d8b219ca&file=Technical_Drawing_1.PNG

    Perpendicularity

Hi Dave, Yes I see, I mistakened the surface where the datum A was referenced. The drawing as it is, shows that edge to be part only of datum B. Thank you.

    Perpendicularity

Thank you so much for your help!

    Perpendicularity

Hi Dave, Thank you for the reply. ISO standards. What surfaces are you referring to? I used datum features C and B to locate the hole. How should I locate the feature in the best way?

    Perpendicularity

Thank you for the feedback. I have made changes to the drawing in order to fully constrain the location of the hole. By using a position control frame, am I still able to obtain perpendicularity? Is there anything I should change in the drawing? See update. Thank you...

    Perpendicularity

Hi everyone, I am drafting a drawing of a toggle lever with a threaded hole for an insert. I set a control frame to control the perpendicularity of the hole with respect to datum A. Should the dimensions for locating the threaded hole be basic dimensions? I am referring to 20 and 12, see the...
