Do you know an other way to model fluid/gas in a cavity under gravity load? I don't want to go into adaptive meshing with CPE4R elements or CEL techniques. since this is a bit of over kill to the problem at hand.
I had a similar issue once, and was able to throw all the nodes of the 'rigid body' in a set and apply a BC=0 to all which can be easily turned on/of between steps. This will only work if your rigid body is not needed to move during analysis. I was able to rearrange the BCs such that everything...
Currently I am working on a model for a hydrogen tank in Abaqus (Abaqus/CAE 2020). I would like to use the fluid cavity interaction to model the hydrogen. When I tried to apply gravity to the model, the fluid in the cavity is not taken into account to calculate the gravitational loads. Also I...
Hi FEA way, thank you very much! Do you know why it does this? The mode shapes are not the same for different nodal diameters, so I would expect a different modal mass. Can I calculate the modal mass for higher nodal diameters myself from the generated output?
currently I'm running an Eigen frequency analysis with cyclic symmetry. When running the model, all seems to go according to what I expected. Eigen Frequencies are in line with manufactured products for all cyclic modes. However, for cyclic modes > 1 the participation factors and the modal...
