K&c test lateral loading trail value

Just a follow up question in case of rcb steering system we need to lateral compliance in phase or out phase? Thanks Alok

K&c test lateral loading trail value

Hi Greg, Thanks for the clarification, I have few query, If possible please clarify them. 1.In steering compliance with, In-phase loading and out-phase loading how steering system compliance effect. And do I need to introduce compliance of tie rod while doing this? 2.Is track change is...

K&c test lateral loading trail value

I am running with 0 mm trail also but in literature it's given lateral load is applied at pneumatic trail + mechnical trail. In some reports(for different class of vehicle) I am seeing 17 mm castar trail and in some 29 mm cater trail. And they have taken 30mm as trail.

K&c test lateral loading trail value

Hi all, Is 30 mm trail is standard for applying lateral load or do I have to check what is actual mechnical trail at design condition(unladden)? Thanks Alok

Calculation of deviation from target path - ADAMS CAR

I think in CRC test distance between those two marker won't change(educated guess). Its better to measure the yaw angle. Can I ask why you are measuring paths in CRC test? Thanks Alok

driveline_active in adams car template ?

yes my template have driveline in it & I know I can make it active/inactive either changing the parameter driveline_line. my doubt is what the expression mentioned above means. I know "||" this means logical or and "&&" this is logical. But what does (._double_wishbone.phs_driveline_active...

Calculation of deviation from target path - ADAMS CAR

I think by measuring the slip angle at each tire(it will be a function of vehicle speed). That will give you the dynamic turning center, From there you can calculate actual TCD. [If I remember correctly the formula is given in this book:-https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-319-05449-0]...

driveline_active in adams car template ?

I've been creating a front suspension in Adams template from scratch, and while doing so, I came across something named driveline_active and driveline_inactive. Looking into standard templates further reveals that they are simply a collection of components, communicators, and joints that provide...

    Discussion about portal axle

Hello every one, I am currently building portal axle(to increase the ground clearance) in Adams/car. As per my understanding the difference I found with Beam axle(with standard axle) is 1.The half shaft and spindle are at offset to each other. 2.Wheel angle changes drastically especially Bump...

Help to understand Suspension analysis in Adams car?

I have only lately begun to use Adams car. It contains a simulation named Roll & Vertical Force/Length that is under suspension analysis. After reading the documentation (A roll and vertical force analysis sweeps the roll angle while holding the total vertical force constant. The total vertical...
