You can get a "bundle" called Advanced Design Bundle. This will give most of the features in UG's Modeling,Assemblies and drafting. This may be best bet.

Which version of UG? In NX3 there is an option to see section of assemblies,I suppose. I didn't try NX3.

EngMfg1, You can add your own IE html file as your home page in the resource bar. In that html file you can have your own links,editor,graphics or whatever you like in a normal web page. Is this suits you?
