    Harmonic and Total Harmonic Distortion

There are several electronic power meters which measure harmonics and power. Look into Fluke's type 43B power quality analyzer for $2199.75. It measures up to the 51st harmonic. Page 2015 in Newark Electronics catalog #121. www.newarkinone.com. Amprobe has the HA-2000 power analyzer for...

Using 220v U.S. Power with computer????

Hello daves22, The only advantage to running at a higher voltage and lower current is to the designer of the circuit. He can use a smaller-cheaper wire size. Because Europe uses a higher voltage, they are more concerned with having finger-safe terminals and must pay closer attention to...

    Three phase autotransformer

To: busbar From: pragmatist It looks like you are recommending an isolated transformer to get around the different kinds of three phase systems; grounded and ungrounded, that might be found in the US. Is this correct?

    Three phase autotransformer

Hello jbartos, My sources can be three phase 60 Hz.Y or delta at 208V, 240V, 480V, & 575V(Canada). I assume that I won't be able to use corner grounded 240V delta. My load will be a three phase Y connected refrigeration compressor operating at 440 V 60 Hz. (European design) The...

    Three phase autotransformer

What problems can arise if I use a three phase autotransformer with a center tapped delta power source? Sinse each phase is 240 Volts, I am told the one tapped phase will cause my autotransformer or its' load to short out.
