With reference to your compressor question, my experience indicates that wet seal type once working correctly are much more reliable, the number of times i have heard of contaminated dry seals causing expensive plant shutdown is suprising.

Your question is a little vague, the mechanism of fatigue is very complex. If your pump shaft has been manufactured by the pump manufacturer and you are operating the pump within the specifications stated by the manufacturer i.e fluid, speed, protection, etc then I would expect the pump...
