Just got a new machine with dual monitors. I am trying to move one open file to one monitor while opening another on the other. I do alot of reference work that this would be handy for. Are there any settings within SolidWorks to allow this to happen, because I have been unable to get it to work...
I just did, and that seemed to do the trick. I was able to open it onto the surface and extrude from there. Only issue now is that with all those splines, the file gets big. Oh well, at least the customer gets what they want. Thanks, all, for your help.

The problem I am having is that the dxf isn't opening into a new part for me to copy onto the existing one. I get the preview to show up, but when I hit the "Finish" button, I get no result.
Okay, I am trying to insert a .dxf file on a face to extrude. I go through the import wizard and see the image with no problem. I hit the finish button and I get nothing on the face. I have tried just inserting it onto a plane on an empty part but still get a blank sketch. Any help would be...
Very cool. If the blank data for a deep-draw part is accurate, this would be a huge improvement for us deep-draw guys. I haven't received my copy of 2007 yet, but am anticipating it a bit more so I can try and prove this out.

Hello,
I am working on a drawing file and would like to change templates without starting a new drawing from scratch. I have looked through all of the online help and can't seem to find any info on this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
