I got answer to this question. The reason is I don't select Config (default, or a different). Once Config is selected, the quantities show up right away.

I don't understand why the PDMWorks references or reporting function always have a blank quantity column. In BOM, it automatically creates the quantity for references. But in PDMWorks it is just blank. How to make it link to the quantity of BOM? Thanks.
