    I have used beams and springs to simulate fasteners. I would second the fact that you get unrealisticly high stress locally for the situation you are recreating; but if for load transfer only ,that is the ticket.

    as far as "keywords", Idunno. but to disable the beep... In the Nastran editor, go to setup-->default settings. It should become quite clear where to click.

    Update to date code M110. M80 is buggy. Be aware that you are trading one set of bugs for another. This seems to be the trend with PTC products. By the way, our reseller says those are not bugs! They are built in smoke breaks!!
