I got this error today which is what lead me here via a google search. I'm on SP2.2
I was able to fix the problem (got the assembly to "SAVE")by deleting all of the configurations that I created AFTER the last time I saved the Assembly. I'm guessing it did not like the configurations that I...
I found it.
Yeah, you need to enable in the config:
topobus_enable yes
You need to save the file as a Neutral though (like you said looslib).
Here is the link where I got my info from:

I believe in WildFire, you need to set something in the config that lets you "save-as" 2001.
WHen you do this, you will be able to open it up and see the features in the model tree, only catch is that you cannot modify them.
But you would be able to add more features.
I forget what the config...
Ohhhhhh, LOL, I see, yeah I fully undstood you from the begining.
What I misunderstood was the meaing of the word "lie" in the sentence of yours that I questioned..
"Since the parametrics will lie in your construction geometry, it's a good idea to relable that as well to make things easier."...
Oh, so thats what that 'Add to New Folder' thing does when you right click a feature in the model tree. I never cared to try that, but I think thats a good way to clean up a model tree.
I admit that I am lazy when it comes to naming features, actually I am doing it more than I used to.
What do...
Hey all
Last week I was the one who had the corrupt part thread, well since my company has been slow to obtain SW04, I bit the bullet and just remodeled the damn thing....in 2003.
Anyways, I am primarily a Joe/ENGINEER guy, and am used to their surface merging and trimming methods.
In...
Scott:
Thanks for the very detailed response!
I just noticed something else while I am on my relentless pursuit of fixing this model...
I can now open-up the part and it will not crash on me...AS LONG AS I keep my mouse pointer hovering over the model tree. If I move the mouse pointer over the...
Much thanks to all who have posted!
Yeah since my company is looking to get 2004 and getting back on the subscription route, I guess I can send this file to the VAR and see what they can do.
Here are a few things that I have done to troubleshoot the file:
I quickly inserted the corrupt file...
thanks for the responses everyone!
CorBlimey:
I only had 1 back-up of the corrupt part. It was saved 7 minutes beforehand, and it was 200 kilobytes smaller. But unforunetly that file was also corrupt. (yeah, I am pretty close to being SOL on the FUBAR'd files)
Its unfortunate the back-up file...
Hey all
Im back again with another question, only this is a much bigger crisis.
I am working on a part which is essentially a master model. It has lots of curves and surfaces, so its pretty complex.
Anyhow, this morning my computer locks up with SW running. Instead of hitting CTL+ALT+DEL, I...
hmm, I never thought of that...that would work, but if I ever needed to move the imported geometry, I would have to do everything all over again.
I also thought of creating an assembly, and assembling the surface geometry to the coord sys. (I would make the surface geom. a SW part).
Then I can...
Hey All,
I have a part where I created a coordinate system on. I need to import an IGES file of surfaces, these surfaces will be used to make a cut feature.
The problem I am having is that when I go to Import the surface geometry, it locates the geometry on the default coordinate system, not...
