Communication with Point of sale terminal (POS)

The project is like my gas station example. Basically there's a service that customer purchases and make the payment via credit card. I don't want to go into details of payment as possible as i can. The other parts are complex enough and i don't want to spend much time on payment issue but it is...

Communication with Point of sale terminal (POS)

I'll also talk with bank, pos device manufacturer and other people. I'm in research now. May be an experienced people can classfiy and clarify the situation and help me to go the right direction. There is nothing illegal with my request. There are probably billions of applications which require...

Communication with Point of sale terminal (POS)

Is there anything here that is related to steal other people's identity information? How other similar systems work? Think of a gas station. Think there's 2 systems. One is pos terminal and the other is related to other things like gas pump, gas meter etc. The customer comes in, enters the...

Communication with Point of sale terminal (POS)

I don't know how pos terminals work. But i need to use a pos terminal in a project. Basically the microcontroller based system will tell the pos terminal the amount to charge the credit card of the customer and the the pos terminal will return the information of payment received or not. Is this...

Eliminating vibration effects from the output signal of a loadcell?

Thanks good idea. But what if the vibrations are not symmetrical then does it still work? Also at what rate do you convert the signals?

Eliminating vibration effects from the output signal of a loadcell?

As you know loadcells generally work in an environment with lots of mechanical vibration. So the output signal of the loadcell also vibrates very much. Averaging the output slows the output very much. Can we eliminate / filter out this vibration from the output signal wihout a much loss of the...

What is admittance RF level transmitter?

Are you sure about the L-C? Because they don't mention about L but they do about R (resistance). And what's the mechanical structure? Are 2 condcutors is a must or can it be realized by one conductor like one probe capacitive sensors?

    Loadcell Zero point shift

What may be the reasons of the shift of readings in a weigh scale application? Evaluate the question from the developer's perspective also not only from the user's. Assume that there is no load on the loadcell and as time passes your readings change slightly. What are the reasons? One thing is...

What is admittance RF level transmitter?

Ok i already made a small research but i did not get the idea clearly. They say that the system also measures the resistance. What resistance? I don't think we can measure the resistance directly (by applying a dc voltage) in most cases. Do they measure the capacitance and the impedance and...

    capacitive level sensor measuring problem

What is it? It seems to be a brand with different kinds of products? What's the difference of their products and which product do you offer?

What is admittance RF level transmitter?

Are there any detailed information about it? I roughly know what it is from the product datasheets but i'd like to know it in more depth especially the theory behind it and may be some practical knowledge. Thanks.

    capacitive level sensor measuring problem

Ok machine is a big one and there are 26 of them. Each have 2 sensors on it. The grain comes from a silo and fills in the feeder on top of the machine where the sensor is fitted in. Moisture of the grain is critical and we cannot change it randomly. The grain comes from the top and moves on...

    capacitive level sensor measuring problem

I also thought of static but there should be a protection but it also depends on the earth. Here is the picture http://www.dsn2006.org/catalog/pics/Double_Deck_Roller_Mill.jpg sensor is on the upper part of the machine inside of the box.

    capacitive level sensor measuring problem

We are using a single probe capacitive sensor to measure the level of a grain. The grain is filled in a box which is installed on a machine. When the machine is running for a while we make the calibrations and there is no problem. But when the machine stops for a while and then restarts the...

    Pressure to weight

I mean vertical to what? Earth's surface? Since machine can be on different grounds, it may be tricky. So the operator should find a flat surface then.

    Pressure to weight

Hmm how do they know the piston is vertical and on what reference?

    Pressure to weight

There are some weighing systems in some machines operated by hydraulic pistons and are quite precise. They calculate the weight by converting the measured pressure from the pistons via pressure sensors. Does anybody know or have an idea how the system works? How do they convert pressure to weight?

    Motor Vibration Problem

As far as i know, reducing I helps vibration problem. But it didn't. I didn't try to increase it but i increased and decreased P part. It didn't make any change. I also varied slip.
