Thank you. Next, is there any reference, test..etc.. that will show performance of stud materials threaded into different female materials?
Thanks again.
Hello,
I'm looking to solve an internal shear strength problem. I have 1/4-20 all thread stud inserted into a cast aluminum part. I can calculate the shear strength of the aluminum. What I need is a website, book, anything that I can give to my boss that can explain the facts on course...
How can I determine the output CFM of a blower? I know the horsepower of the motor, outlet size and fan diameter. What else do I need and how do I figure out the volume flow rate?
Thanks.
Hello all,
What is the equation for aero horsepower? I'm trying to calculate the required aero hp to move a hood scoop on a race car. I'm using CFD but the drag force numbers I'm getting are wacky. I'm using Floworks, apply a surface goal to the scoop, apply an equation goal calculating the...
Yes, I found this out also. My feature problem was with the shell I created. I had to create a new model and make the shell thicker until Floworks accepted it. Now it runs great.
How can I print multiple drawings without opening each individual drawing? I've got 80 prints I need to print and I don't want to open each one. Thanks.
I'm looking forward to hearing what goengineering has to say. I bought a new computer, it's a 3.6 Xeon with 2.0 GB of RAM to run this. My VAR led me to someone who couldn't answer my questions regarding internal flow. Then he led me to someone who has yet to respond to my voicemails. What SW...
When I start a new Floworks calculation my computer locks up. I go to the task manager and the system idle process is using 99-100% of the cpu. It always does it when Floworks stores the initial flow. Any ideas? Thanks
What does everybody think the ideal computer would be to run FloWorks? I do mostly external analysis on thin bodies (.085" thick) and the mesh generates around 1,000,000 cells. What computer will do this in a timely fashion? Thanks!
I have had several unsuccessful attempts at obtaining results from my model. My model is not that complex but the CPU time is sooo slow. I'm lucky if I get 1-5 iterations in a 2 to 3 hour period. I've set the gap size at 1 or 2 and reset the computational domain to better fit my model...
Ok, when I plotted on a 2D plane the flow went through it. I changed the minimum wall thickness to .6 in (it was set at 1.147 ft!!)and that made the difference. I get awesome results, One problem, the time to compute the results is horrible. I set the gap resolution to the minumum and I...
