This is also why I try to stay away from chains.
I find Jack screws work better in tension, but to build a frame to hang from cost money. A profile guide way will prevent some of the splaying that Itsmoked saw on his chains...

I have used quick release pins before from Southco, but for an 1/8" dia shaft I don't think they exist.

But the customer need to be able to remove this protective panel often and the retaining rings don't allow for easy removal.
I am considering a grommet, one that will be captivated by the panel and create enough friction to grab the 1/8 dia shaft.
