We need to remove the rev from the end of the JT file name. Unable to find what controls this action. Using Creo 3 and Teamcenter 11.

PMI Custom Symbol Colour - What controls colour - symbol opening up black in the JT.

When creating a PMI custom symbol, it appears black in Vis, but not black in NX. In Vis, select right click Appearance Properties and change the foreground colour and the symbol changes to any colour. What controls this in NX so we don't have to manually change the symbol.

A/R (As Required) set for quantity of bulk items at the part level

Thanks John, that is our current method to set the quantity for bulk items. We were wondering if we could improve the method. We were wondering if you can default "A/R" in the part file, so when you add a bulk item to an assembly, the parts list will automatically set the quantity to A/R in the...

nx Open Facet update at assy level

John, For Model reviews, when I have a meeting room 5 min before the meeting begins it takes up to 45 min to an hour to fully load a complete vehicle. The time it takes is regardless of the type of geometry, (Facet vs Body) but a function of network bandwidth for a full load. Master model...

How to create a lightweight faceted reference set

John, Thank you for your answer, but I need to separate in my mind Reference Sets and Facets. If you could answer the following. 1. Do I have the option to use Assemblies/ Advanced / Representations in NX7.5 or is the function removed? If so, instead of saving to a reference set, will they...

How to create a lightweight faceted reference set

John, With an assembly of 30,000 parts (full vehicles) for interference checks, what memory savings would you see loading a full vehicle to see the faceted reps? That is a lot of memory usage for a lightwieght image. Also, What happens to old style facets in assemblies? Is the legacy method...

Losing connection to TCE when exporting step, dxf etc

4 Tier have a security feature that disable exports as you do not want your suppliers exporting all your models. If the security variable is set, you can toggle it on and off. The default appears broken (not set). I would suggest to try setting TCE to export with the variable and give all...

Losing connection to TCE when exporting step, dxf etc

Using nx6 and TC8, anytime any user exports step, iges, dxf etc, TCe and nx must be restarted. Connection is lost. Anyone know a setting to fix this issue? Should exports be done from TC and not NX? Peter
