idw's are crashing or not saving
what error massage do you get? or does windows just drop inventor? try openeing the files and when prompted to update refuse. AI9 has probelsm with parts lists and its noramlly best to delete them and re insert them rather than try and update them. my pc has a similar spec to yours and the...- StuEllison

changing dimension style
I don't particularly feel there is any need to use driven dimensioning. The only feasible reason I can think of is the one alphram mentioned whereby you would define other dimensions from the driven one. Graphics Card / Processors
My PC runs models in excess of 55,000 parts. My spec is 3.4GHz, 2GB RAM, and a Quadra FX 500 graphics card. If you do decide to purchase more than 2GB of RAM remember windows will only allocate 2GB to aany one application at any one time.
