    Normalized eigenvectors

Drej, Thank you for your response. Yes, I turned off the MODOPT option. Then, I get mode shapes in real and imaginary form. (for basic and duplicate sector). My question is how I can compute the unit matrix using those mode shapes and mass matrix of the basic sector. Tommy

    Normalized eigenvectors

Hi, Does anyone know how the eigenvectors are normalized in cyclic symmetry analysis of ANSYS 7.0? By the way, I found the following information in ANSYS website. In modal cyclic symmetry, this becomes even more complicated because of the presence of the duplicate sector. Here the mass...

Modal Cyclic Symmetry Analysis using ANSYS7.0

Oh my god… This is unbelievable.. OK I actually feel excited now. I did believe you, but my model didn’t have damping, so I wanted to wait to conduct your procedure. I’m sorry.

Modal Cyclic Symmetry Analysis using ANSYS7.0

I've conducted cyclic symmetry analysis of a sector model of a bladed disk. (shell63 in cylindrical coord) I wrote Fortran code to take out complex modeshapes. I also obtaned the mass and stiffness matrices using Rdfull.exe. I've been trying to compute the modal mass matrix as the unit matrix...
