For R11, we used an addin called LeaCar. It can extract parameters and output the information into a custom iProperty for you to use in cut lists.

I would offer a caveat though. If you are planning to upgrade INV to R2009 + I wouldn't bother with LeaCar as it gets buggy...
Here is what we use. Depending on the overall size you require, put it in an assembly then Pattern Component. This will slow down your computer if the pattern is too large. A work around is to pattern it say, 10 X 10, then derive a part from ass'y, then start a new ass'y with derived component...

My point is that our clients need dwg files as well as hard copies so it didn't make sense to go with an inferior 2D CAD product if INV came with ACAD bundled in.
