    Flipping a rubber extruded profile

mike, thank you. first for understanding what i'm talking about, and for the idea. i'll think to automate this idea by pulling one end of the "hose" thanks again, man

    Flipping a rubber extruded profile

Looks like a long rubber hose. The cross section is actually a spiral. The extrusion die has a spiral opening. Now a spiral has to one end a large radius (on the exterior) and a small radius (on the inside). Don't forget it is rubber. I have to flip profile so the small radius end to get on...

    Flipping a rubber extruded profile

I have a spiral cross section of an extruded silicone profile of about 50ft. I want to flip it and the smaller radius end to be on top. Can be done manually but takes a lot of effort and time. Anyone has any idea? I'll try to use a cone to open the profile and try to close it starting with the...

    Oddball Metric Threads

btw, major is considered the max. diameter. eg. for a bolt of M6X1, the major is 6mm, so M29X1.5, the major is 29. Minor you can calculate. The angle is 60° Good luck

    Oddball Metric Threads

nope, 1.5 means the pitch. angle is 60°. for tolerancing there are classes. check the following links: http://www.tapmatic.com/tech_manual/class_of_threads.html http://mdmetric.com/tech/threadtech.pdf http://www.roymech.co.uk/Useful_Tables/Drawing/draw_dim.html...

    strain gauge loadcell.

Hi guys, I'll go in parallel, pressure gage and load cell. It's a nice exercise from the repeatability standpoint. Thank you again. Any idea what kind of steel would be better (for the load cell)? Thanks again ps. hi rb1957 cezar

    strain gauge loadcell.

thanks for the info. the answer is yeah, it's a learning experience as well as a building something i will use. the company i'm working for is in rubber industry (automotive). we have to overmold a metal washer (insert) with rubber for an air conditioning application, using a primer that will...

    <<(thx for using 12mm width !) >> you're funny, thanks man cezar

    strain gauge loadcell.

i want to build a load cell that's using one or more strain gauges connected to a wheatstone bridge. so i was thinking to a beam (12mm X 24mm, 80mm long), fixed to one end and free on the "load" side. the strain gauge will be glued to the bottom of the beam (on the surface of 12X80) (would be a...
