    Volumetric efficiency calculation

Can someone give me a volumetric efficiency formula to calculate the cubic feet per minute volume of and engine at a given RPM???

Hydrogen generator, a failure as you guys said

All of this is mute because it made NO difference when added to a fuel injected engine. The extra Hydrogen did nothing to enhance the combustion or mileage without modifying the operating system. All these claims are for standard engines with extra hydrogen added. Gary

Hydrogen generator, a failure as you guys said

Just for your information, refund was within 5 days of return of generator. GP

List of Coefficient of Rolling Friction for name brand tires???

Thanks for the data tireman9 sounds like you need the scanII device that I am using to track any change in the fuel economy during testing. It was about $170.00 and has been very accurate on 2 different cars that I have had it on over long hauls and several tanks of gas. If there is a difference...

Hydrogen generator, a failure as you guys said

The generator was supposed to increase fuel economy 20% min. increase power, keep oil cleaner ect. Looking back thru the communications it was supposed to generate 2 liters/min, not 1, perhaps at that level it could have effected the economy but as it stands now, you saw the test results. The...

Hydrogen generator, a failure as you guys said

OK on board hydrogen generator, from water, fully tested and a glowing failure. Advertised volume was 1 liter/minute, tested at 17 and 15 amp draw it would only produce 1 liter every 2 minutes 15 seconds, 1/2 the spec volume. Anything beyond would boil water in generator. 17-18 amps for several...

Relationship of Ambient Temp to Fuel Economy

I have noticed the same thing in driving at colder temps/highway speeds. The dense air does indeed create lower fuel economy. On one trip at 32 degrees I could only get 38mpg and when returning at 57 degrees the economy was back up to 41mpg, same day, basic calm air, same fuel in tank, the only...

Hydrogen/ oxygen added thru electrolisys, on board generator

I have found several hydrogen generators, by electrolysis, for sale, has anyone tried any of these devices???? I am looking at a unit that produces 1L/minute at 15 amp draw. They are claiming 20% min. fuel economy increase. I have ahd a chemist friend run the numbers and he says that they indeed...

List of Coefficient of Rolling Friction for name brand tires???

Rolling resistance on recommended Consumer report tires. I have finally broken in the Falken ZE 512 tires, about 5000 miles on them. Unfortunately they have NOT given me any more fuel economy than the original OEM tires. They were Bridgestone B450, SR rated, just a cheap OEM tire. These new...

List of Coefficient of Rolling Friction for name brand tires???

Thanks for the ideas guys, already saw the greenseal graph, too few tire moodels tested. I oppted for the Falkin tires listed in consumer report as low rolling resistance/excellent tracktion ect. After I break in the tires i will post any difference I find in the mileage/ coasting ability versus...

List of Coefficient of Rolling Friction for name brand tires???

Jadcock, thanks for the heads up, I checked it out and though it did not give specific numbers, it did list which tires were better in rolling resistance than others tested,my new tires are on the way, it will be interesting to see if they make a significant difference in fuel economy. gpara

    Master cylinder location question

I have used a vacuum system for years on hard to bleed brake systems. You can use an inexpensive hand pump vac. to romove the air from the system. I have converted a clear glass jar with 2 ports on the top to see the flow of fluid and act as a reserviour. gpara

List of Coefficient of Rolling Friction for name brand tires???

I am having a hard time finding any information on the rolling resistance of car tires. I am working toward increased fuel economy but the manufacturers will not answer the questions I am asking, namely what is the CRF (coefficient of Rolling resistance) of certain size tires they manufacture...
