Has anyone used either the Z Scanner 700 or 800, what are your impressions of it?

I was told that these are for sale only and not for rent/lease. Does anyone know of anyone that rents these scanner? Thanks for any info...
This might apply to Updraft's comment #3. At our work we have to flatten BOM's which results in way to many mates (1000+) in the assy's and thus bogs down our systems. I wanted to toss out this idea good or bad.
1. For the SW BOM type use PARTS ONLY and keep the sub-assemblies of...
I have been working with cosmos motion using parts and flexible sub-assemblies. The problem is that when it goes to solve it takes forever to run so i quit before it its done. However, if I dissolve the sub-assemblies and just use cosmos motion on individual parts it actually finishes solving...
If I recreate the tables they still show the old lengths. This also happpens to the lenghts generated using the flatten route feature. Our VAR is looking into this and hopefully they come up with a solution.
Is anyone else having trouble having the routing tables update with the correct cable/wire lengths? I fixed the length of cable to 10" made a drawing and decide to re-fix the length at 12" but the tables won't update to show the 12" cable length. It the correct length will show up if I create a...
I looked at AssemblyXpert and it did list alot of information but I was looking for something that breaks down the parts and subassembly rebuild times (ie running feature statistics on all the parts in the assembly and tabulating the results). Can any of this be done in the API?
Is there anyway to determine which how long the parts take to rebuild directly from within the assembly? We are starting to work with large assemblies of 3000+ components and would like to know where in our assemblies to 'cut the fat' from instead of opening each component and running feature...
Took the CSWP exam at the beginning of December and failed (140/200); but I received an email today from Solidworks certification saying that they reviewed my test and I could take it again for free. So anyone else that failed you should check your email just in case.
According to our VAR we couldn't use COSMOSExpress on assemblies. You could use split lines to model the contact (fix) the 2" wide steel and apply a load over the wheel area and use cosmos express on just the part. Why not just use a formula from Roark's to get the deflection, assuming the plate...
With the joint friction the block will have an initial positive acceleration then gradually move to a negative acceleration (duration of ~.2secs over a 1 sec sim) then jump to 0 acceleration and remain that way for the rest of the acceleration. For the joint paramaters I chose 'use materials...
I'm having trouble understanding the way friction works in COSMOSmotion.
I have a 1 kg block constrained to move along the x-axis by a translational joint. There is an action only constant force of 10N acting the +x direction, gravity is in the -y direction @ 9.81m/s^2, and the friction in the...
This is back to your original question. I don't believe that you can have Photoworks materials and non-photoworks materials render together. That being said the "Display Solidworks Colors in PhotoWorks" box must be checked, and the ones that you have checked should be unchecked. What you see on...
Under PhotoWorks/Options/SystemOptions in the "Material Display" box is "Display Solidworks Colors in PhotoWorks" checked? Does that solve the problem?
From you picture it looks like the numbers go from 0 to 360. Set the line length for your text to the diameter of the circle. Set the justification to full. Give each 'number' the same number of characters (three), ie 0 10 20... should be "space,0,space,space,space,1,0,space,2,0, ...". The text...
