Thank xref for your answer, I understand and agree with you for the energy balance. For the problem elastic crack propagation,
all quantities ALLKE, ALLVD, ALLVD, ALLSE , ALLPD , ALLCD , ALLAE are zero. (Fig. 1)
Fig.1 : Energy quantities zero
I obtain:
ALLIE=ALLSE
this relation is...
I have an elastic crack propagation analysis using slave-master method with crack length time-dependent criterion. It works fine unless I can’t find the balance energy between internal energy and work external like the following (ABAQUS Theory Manual/Energy Balance 1.5.5)
If we note :
ALLWK...
Does anyone known why the Crack propagation analysis can't be performed using the *VISCO procedures in version 6.6.3 but this can be done with version 6.4 ? It's a only backwardness ? :D
( ABAQUS Analysis User's Manual - 7.10.3 Crack propagation analysis )
Thanks
Thank you for your pertinent answer that I’ve waited and checked for for every hours ;)). And I have some remark following :
I think stress intensity factors (SIFs) make sense only for linear elastic materials.
I agree with you that the SIFs is used in linear elastic fracture mechanics, but...
In order of studying a crack propagation analysis of viscoelastic material (bituminous binder), I use crack length versus time criterion for my model of CAX4 elements that you can see in the image:
When I calculate the stress intensity factor and opening crack factor by extracting the...
We have to put the "!" before the same command in MS-DOS (cmd/command) to run ABAQUS.
For viewing the results, you can use :
!abaqus viewer database=path/jobname.odb
For exemple :
!abaqus viewer database=E:\ABAQUS\work\maer\meshca_maer.odb
It worked.
Thanks
In fact, I have a viscoelastic material in Prony-series presentation by fitting these models to viscoelastic experimental data.
. At the moment, I have to determine the property of this model Prony-series for each temperature and following by a calculation of this file input abaqus *.INP.
But I...
