    Engineroom Fan

In other words Gokhal mentioned a sort of 'silencer'. It is not uncommon to see silencers in high velocity exhaust systems but they have a different design but similar principle. Dimensions and flow rate would have helped me in giving you a better engineering solution!

    sulzer rta engine

If i get it right you are mentioning that the peak pressure in the same cylinder is fine but somehow its compression pressure is less. Peak pressures will probably not vary much since it is a function of the amout of fuel that goes in. Which cylinder number is it? have you done any compression...

    Engine Exhaust Piping

Does any one knows the material for marine diesel engine exhaust gas piping?, i am taking about large slow speed 2-stroke and medium speed 4-stroke engines mainly. I am working on corrosion in engine exhaust gas piping. Anyone has decent pictures of exhaust gas piping please? of installations...

MAIN & AUX Diesel Engine Exhuast Piping Corrosion/Fouling

Hi, Any one experienced exhaust piping corrosion? what is the material? anyone tired special materials? I am interested in gathering as much information as possible for both cold and hot corrosion. Pictures are welcome too. How about fouling /soot deposits or even soot fires? I am writing a...

    Boiler Load

what are the practical means of verifying load on a boiler? I think there has to be more than one method. which one is most effective one and their accuracies? any literature? cheers! :)

Oil Fired Boiler Flue / Exhaust Gas

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that mass flow is not constant in boiler, for instance; a load change would definately change the flue gas temp. also, backpressure changes in stack, the blower operating point moves along the Q-H curve.. what are your thoughts? Cheers

Oil Fired Boiler Flue / Exhaust Gas

Hi, Can anyone reply please!, 1. what is the effect of inlet air temperature on the flue gas temprature and flow in an oil fired boiler? any info? tips? or a method to calculate it...? the question relates to heavy oil fired boilers. Cheers!
