Hi, i think it has an easy solution. It depends on the way you had made the model but if you have made a good model you have to insert the new axis you want and replace the old one clicking with the third button on it.
I hope i help you
Hi Joseph, with a macro you can do what you want, you can make a scrip to open, copy and paste your iges file into your CATIA file, but an IGS file in CATIA is not a body.
It doesn’t matter if it is planar or not, try to use fill command (SURF1-FILL). Select the close boundary (the hole), and then the surface. That command lets you to get a surface with a close boundary tangent to other.
Of course you can use solid edges, surfaces, points, ....
All the 3D geometry can be used to apply constraints in a sketch without projecting them, simply select them.
It runs under xp, i think your only problem is the license server, may be the version of flexlm or simply flexlm doesn`t get the license file.
wich is the flexlm´s version???
It seems to be a problem with flexlm,
do you have more than one software using services from flexlm?
Try to start the fluent service and reread the license file in the LMTOOLS(if you have more thann one service in flexlm stop all before doing it)
The CATIA V5 pre-requisites are MD2, GPS, FMS, and FMD.
If you don´t have one FLUENT fails.
Other reason could be the license, it runs with FLEXLM.
Wich is the error message when you try to run it????
You have to create a skin with all of the surfaces you have and after that split a solid with the skin. Be careful on your solid (the stamper), it must be cut completely with the skin.
jmuriarte,
if you take surfaces from an iges model yoo have to join all of them first. After that the way for selecting faces with point or tangency continuity is with the extract command, but if you choose the point continuity option you will extract all surfaces (the same as the first join).
hi thixoguy,
my recommendation is to take de limit boundary of surfaces you want to extract and trim the total surface with this boundary. You can get this limit boundary with the join command. The join command lets you to take and join internal boundaries of surfaces.
I think this method is the...
Hi,
1. There is no difference between "extract" and "multiple extract", "multiple extract" is for make more than one extract at the same time.
2. In Catia it doesn’t exist, my recommendation is to take the limit boundary with the join command and trim the surface with it.
