    WIND LOAD CALCULATION

Dear Rod, Yes the structure is like fenced enclosures without roof. Unable to find any reference towards calculating the pressure coefficient, to calculate the exact wind load. Can we do with 1P and forget about any internal pressure. Dear dauwerda, I think the structure is not similar to...

    WIND LOAD CALCULATION

This is is a structure in which Air cooled condensers are housed.A rectangular structure having cladding in all four sides, but the roof is open. It is like structural shed of 72m length,29m width and 11.7m ht (without roof covering ). We have to design the shed structure, so wind pressure has...

EMBEDMENT OF PILE INTO THE PILE CAP

It is conventional to embed the concrete pile in the pile cap by 3/4 inch . Is this a good practice to give an idea firming of pile upto the cap. Do we get any advantage in lateral/uplift load sharing. Can some one tell me whether it is mandatory as per any code

    Natural draft cooling tower foundat

Thanks. However the pile cap is annular. Will there be any other consideration. Finally since wind can blow any direction, reversible, Passive pressure will develope when there will be some displacement in the backfilled soil. Now when wind.will blow in opposite directoon, displaced backfilled soil...

    Natural draft cooling tower foundat

Natural draft cooling tower foundation is subjected to huge horizontal load mainly due to wind. I need to design the pile foundation for the same .Can I take passive resistance developed in pile cap from back fill soil to counter the huge horizontal force developed mainly from wind. Raker pile...
