    Oh, no. I think you misread my question. I wanted to export an analysis from COSMOS to ANSYS. In order to do so COSMOS creates a *.ans file. I just can't figure out how to open this file in ANSYS.

    Does anyone know what effect, quantitatively, resetting the PCG stopping threshold has on the result? How is the PCG value calculated for a thermal analysis?

    Hi! I think what you need to do is to use the probe option. generate a thermal plo t at any time step. right click on the name of the plot when it is active and slect 'probe' .select a point and click on the 'response' button on the left 'probe result' dialogue box.
