I didn't realis there was no starter, if that is the case then I don't understand why a race team would use lead acid either.
as for gel cells that term is a bit ambiguous when refering to chemical combo's for the batteries as there are a few different types that can be set up as gel cells...
actually as astonishing as it may sound lead acid battery technology is still the best solution for most atomotive uses. lead acid propperly done stores more energy per unit of weight than many other battery types. it also can push out 300 to 500 amps without damaging the battery whitch many...
that should work alright but if in the future you were to make it fully adjustable you could probibly decrease your spoolup time a little more. the important part is to make the circuit as fast as possible to keep your boost levels from fluctuating.
and then there was the interceptor from the late 60's two engines two seperate driveshafts and two irs rear ends tied together with an axel in the middle.
now make a 40 ft limo like that and your sure to have at least 8 to 10 shaft peices.

I dont know if this is exactly what you need but it could be usefull.
I live in oregon, the only time humidity drops below 99.5% is in the summer, most years the weatherman announces sometime in early october that it has started raining, and to expect sunshine in about 9 months.
[fish]
two things about the "epidemic",
#1 if it is true that most of the fires happen in fall winter and spring then it does not make sense for increased static being the cause (although it stll could be) the reason is that the lower the humidity the greater the static problem and vice...
your concept can be done without to much trouble, but what you need to look into is a control for the relay, to the best of my knowledge no relay will do this on its own.
I would suggest off of the top of my head a frequency to voltage converter, hooked to a simple comparater circuit who's...
the company that makes the segway human transporter has plans to power them with generators powered by sterling cycle motors. They seem to have prototypes built and running.
NiMH batteries are very spendy, so I can see lead acid.
his claim that the car ran out of juice at 9.8 miles using a 12 batt pack, and the "independant engineers" comment of “I built an electric car. I know this vehicle could not go more than 10 miles without recharging it’s batteries...
it is better than black boxing in the electronics world. in electronics the idea is similar except that the only people who know how the black box work are retired or at a competiters company.
to take into consideration the differant valve events isn't that hard but isn't totaly precice. basicly compute your cr based on the swept volume from when the intake valve closes as opposed to the bottom of the cylnder, the thing to remenber is that the intake valve is usualy open for a small...
another thing to think about if you are designing for economy is having the effective compression ratio of the intake stroke different from the effective expansion ratio of the exahust stroke the way to do this is have the intake valves stay open part way up the compression stroke, so the volume...
since I can't have a copy can I just borrow the orignal?[wink]
actually my question is whether anyone has a link to a pic that is big enough to see what is going on, or some sort of diagram?
why hasent anyone made a setup for three phase where the current flows through the circuit breaker through the fuses and into the motor? then you have a voltage sensor sensing the voltage across the fuses (each indipendantly) if one fuse blows the voltage across it becomes=to source voltage...
this reminds me a lot of the discussion in the better cycle engines post. (which was great)
but something is this concept doesn't add up.
re: Modified cycle for efficient combustion, allowing for a significant increase in rpm.
the rpm limits on production cars has to do with durability and cost...
