thank you, it works but it lines up the text and not the lines. This is a problem for dimensions that have an offset leader, but it is ok. again thanks.
I would like to use a feature like Pro/e snap lines to make all my dims line up on the drawing. Is this a possible feature or do I just have to eyeball it?
Is there a way to make an assembly and "drag" the contents from the top level assembly to the sub and keep the constraints? I have an assembly with everything constrained and now I need to take a few of the pieces "15 or so" and move them into there own assembly. I know how to do this by...

what is the difference in file size of saving as "all components" or surfaces if you have a lot of internal surfaces like you were saying.

I have a complex assembly with many surface models and subassemblies with up to 5000 part copy geometry making up a single part. I have to make the entire assembly a single part document. I have tried stp, igs, parasolid, etc. and they all fail. Is there anyway to make a dumb solid out of an...
I actually mean both. I just remember the old days when you brought in an iges file and it was just one dumb file with no features. I really just need to make a space claim feature of the whole assembly. I have tried the boolean but it doesn't seem to want to work. I think this part is a...
I have a complex assembly with many surface models and subassemblies with up to 5000 part copy geometry making up a single part. For most of the simple stuff I can individually select them and insert them as a part copy. But I am not allowed to do this with this current job. I have to make...
