I would like to use a feature like Pro/e snap lines to make all my dims line up on the drawing. Is this a possible feature or do I just have to eyeball it?

Hi,

there is a function for that:

Tools --> Dimensions --> Line Up Text

there are verious options for an anlignment. Select
the first one to which you would them align to and
then select the others.

You may also insert a button into one of the toolbars when
not already there: RMB into the empty space of one of the
toolbars --> Cutomize --> Toolbars --> Dimensions. Hoover
over the icons and then just drag the one to the toolbar.

thank you, it works but it lines up the text and not the lines. This is a problem for dimensions that have an offset leader, but it is ok. again thanks.

What if I wanted to make the dimensions spaced equally, like a half inch between each one as they are stacked?

Hi,

Global change:

go to Format --> Style --> Stile Type Dimension and select Style
you want. Then 'Modify' --> Tab 'Lines and Coordinate' change
the value for 'Stack Pitch' default is 3 times the current font
size.

For a local change select one of the stacked dimensions, RMB
Properties --> Tab 'Lines and Coordinate' and change the value
as above apply with OK

You could also us the grid display on the draft sheet as a guide.
Hey dy, be careful "hoovering" over icons - they could all get sucked up and lost !! :)
