    Grades - high carbon (0.50 and higher); 4130; 10B38 Hot Process - CSP caster into a 7 stand rolling mill. Approximatley 1600 finishing temp and 1190 coiling. No processing prior to pickling; no scale breaker at pickle line either.

    Has anyone come against a problem called onion skin, aka kish? This problem is a formation of a difficult to pickle scale on primary steel. Let me know if anyone has heard or solved this problem.
