    .dwg files to .gif

    Paint Shop Pro from JASC will import .dwg and save to .gif. I just got a copy on sale with a mail-in rebate that made the final cost $40. And it includes an animation program.

    Revdate, can it be used in AutoCAD 2000?

    Turns out to be simple, at least on my Acad LT 2000. Just select the block prior to typing the revdate command; voila, it is updated.

    Paper space & Pfd conversion

    CadPublisher (http://www.jwgraphics.com.au) takes dxf and deals with layouts and viewports guite well.

    I use a product called CadPublisher (www.jwgraphics.com.au). It's a little pricier than ViewCompanion and it has a couple of annoying non-critical bugs, but overall it works pretty well.
