Knit Line Affect On Material Strength

patprimmer, I was looking for the strength I can expect, and maybe parameters that will cause variations. In the application I am working on the knit line area is still very strong. My customer was asking for a "scientific explanation" that compares the base material to the knit line areas...

List dimension names and their values

I would like to create a list of dimension names, their values and associated tolerances for all dimensions in a detail drawing. This list will be used to document output from a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine). Is this possible without being proficient in the SolidWorks API? Thank You JoeM...

One option with eDrawings is to allow STL output. Have any of you used this feature successfully to convey 3D model data to a vendor? Thank You Joe Mulligan

Anyone ever import a CADENCE Allegro PCB into SolidWorks?

I have used CircuitWorks, a SolidWorks add-in to bring Allegro (Cadence) files into SolidWorks. You export the Allegro data as an IDF file (there are actually two files) and then use CircuitWorks to import the data into SolidWorks which builds a 3D model of the board.

I downloaded and installed the latest XP drivers from Dell prior to posting (they did't work.) I did not uninstall the old driver - that is an excellent suggestion and I'll try it when time permits. Thank you all for helping me.

    Performance with Solidworks??

This was a great thread - many experts out there. Since you've tried everything logical, here's a few more straws to grab at: 1. Try booting up without connecting to your network. Maybe something is going on in background. 2. Ask the VAR that sold you SolidWorks for help. Burn a CD and let...
