how to achieve 25% Rule for Dual System with SMRF?

Step 1) Delete your shear walls and save this model as a separate file. Multiply your rho with four.(rhox4), this will reduce your Cs to 25% of the original. Proportion your moment frame for this 25% of total base shear. Step 2) Now in your original model use these sizes as minimum. And run the...

Weight of the structure in ETABS

KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid)...just add the Uz (Support reactions) that your building dead weight. Cntr+C and it will copy the table to excel.

    Slab-beam connection?

Remember that ETABS transfers the loads only at the end points of elements. You need to provide as many segments to beam and slab (meshing) in order to achieve near uniform/accurate mass distribution in the model.I would recommend at least three divisions on each elements. If you do not segment...

    Waffle Slabs in Etabs

Are you going to design the waffle slab using ETABS ? I doubt if it does that. You can put the self weight to zero for a regular slab, and put equivalent SDL on the slab enements for reaction purposes. Also, you need to provide cracking MOI -"Icr" for deflection purposes. I hope that helps.

    Revit sloped level.

construct the supports at first. And then in 3D view draw the slab/roof...it will work.

Erratical Results Of ETABS in Longitudual Reinforcements

    ram frame ot other modeler

Id suggest you to invest in ETABS/SAP...rather than any RAM varieties...EABS and SAP are very user friendly and flexible. It has a good online support and tutorials. RAM too has tutorials online but the do not work. Going by my experience you will be wasting a lot of time struggling with any...

ETABS for Gravity loading and Foundation reactoin

numerous errors indicate that there are shortcomings in your model...you are apparently a beginner...ytr going to CSI website and use watch and learn for ETABS...I hope that helps..
